One of the best things about Cairo – you never know what new experience is just around the corner. Today is Sunday and everyone knows it’s not the best day to visit the famous Khan El Khalili Market as the Christian shops close on Sundays. However, this evening I wanted to go for a walk there and found myself slap bang in the middle of a film set! Shouldn’t surprise me really because so many films are made in Egypt.
Here are some photos I took of the actors and actresses relaxing during a break.Khan El Khalili is always worth a visit – always something interesting going on.
The film in the making is about Napoleon Bonaparte and the street scene I stumbled into was set outside the famous Ibn Talun Mosque – fantastic building!
