If you believe that ‘you are what you eat’ then price should not be a deciding factor when choosing a restaurant – especially when you are on holiday and treating yourself. Fortunately for tourists and ex-pat residents, looking for the best places to eat in Luxor – who like to eat quality food, price does not come into the equation at all when considering eating out at A Taste of India in Luxor – it is unbelievably cheap for the quality provided.
I have been recommending A Taste of India to all guests at Mara House for the last 5 years and have never had anyone come back disappointed. I first went there to eat after a guest from India had been to dine there and recommended I try it – an Indian Restaurant recommended by an Indian gentleman, most definitely worth a visit!
Due to the lack of tourists the owner – Russell closed the King & Thai Restaurant and the nearby Fortune Cookie (chinese) but fortunately for us – now serves all three menus at A Taste of India.
Finally, the main reason I like to eat at Russell’s place is that I know he uses good quality ingredients – something that is lacking in so many restaurants. Unfortunately, restaurant owners who believe they must compete on price usually end up compromising on the quality of the ingredients used – this is not the case at A Taste of India. You can also enjoy wine and beer with your meal here.
Hopefully, the tourist industry will revive sufficiently at some stage to allow Russell to once again open The Fortune Cookie and the King & Thai – he deserves all success and support.
