I haven’t written here for a while. My life has been a bit hectic between family, travel and business. But I woke up this morning in Mara House, Luxor. I have been back exactly 4 weeks yesterday and it has been a whirlwind of catching up with everything. My son has built us a BBQ on the roof and it’s working a treat 🙂 but then the floor didn’t look so good under the new BBQ so he is now laying new ceramic tiles up there (among other things).
Anyway, I’m writing this in bed because once I get out of bed – Egypt takes over with it’s daily distractions and disruptions of my plans. No two days here are ever the same for us. While we organise the tours and everything for our guests and they happen flawlessly, everything outside that seems to be, more less, at the mercy of the gods. Egypt is never boring for me!
I woke up this morning, thinking how lucky I am. The storm that is my life seems to have abated somewhat and it’s time to take stock. For some reason, a list of some of the places I have been was running through my head as I woke. I’m going to share the list because the odd thing that all these places have in common for me is that I never asked or planned to visit them – but I was taken to each of them, for free, at one time or another before ending up in Egypt. If you don’t know the significance of some of these you can google them and perhaps they will go on your “bucket list” for some reason or other.
