Walk in the Footsteps of Pharaohs – With a Guide Who Knows the Real Egypt

Join me on a 14-night journey through Egypt — from Luxor’s timeless temples to the treasures of Cairo and the Mediterranean charm of Alexandria. This itinerary balances history, culture, and comfort, with time on the Nile, visits to world-famous monuments, and hidden corners most visitors never find.

For those drawn to spiritual Egypt, ancient mysteries, or tales of the supernatural, I’ll be on hand throughout the journey to share stories and insights. If that’s not your path, rest assured — this tour is equally rich in history, culture, and beauty. The choice is entirely yours, and both paths weave together in the magic of travel here.

  1. Private Time – 2 hours in the Gt. Pyramid of Giza
  2. Private Time – 1 hour inside the area surrounding the Sphinx
  3. Private Time – 2 hours in the Osiriron at Abydos Temple of Sety I

Before you go any futher do you understand the very important and HUGE difference between a Private Tour and Private Time/Visit?  If not, you may want to know the difference before booking any tours in Egypt

Can anyone have a Private Time session in these sites?  Yes, at a cost – learn why Private Access to the Gt. Pyramid and other sites is such a rare opportunity and privilege.

Why This Tour Is Different

I’ve lived in Egypt for over 20 years.  I’ve watched the sun rise over temple ruins long before the crowds arrived and when tourists didn’t come to Egypt I had the sacred sites to myself.  I’ve listened to elders speak about tradition and the way life is meant to be lived.  I’ve seen how Egypt carries on behind the tourist façade and found the quiet corners where real stories live.

Looking back now, some of my experiences here feel surreal—even to me.  But at the time, they were simply part of life.  I’ve granted wishes that no one else would have dared to, led guests into moments most would hesitate to attempt.  At the time, I saw no reason not to.  Looking back there were many reasons not to!  But, they say that innocence protects, and we were indeed protected!

I have many stories to tell.

This tour isn’t a rushed checklist of bucket list sites. It’s a journey into the heart of Egypt—with time to breathe, to wonder, to ask questions, and to reflect.  I personally lead the group, along with a trusted team and a licensed Egyptologist. Together, we take you behind the scenes of ancient history and modern culture.  We show you the threads that quietly link one century to the next.

This tour is different—because now, I’m different too.

Mara - Mara House Luxor

Meet Mara

Hi, I’m Mara — the heart behind Mara House Luxor.
Over twenty years ago, I came to Egypt on an ordinary tour. It was enjoyable… but while it was not a deep, soul-stirring journey, I felt like I had come home. So I returned — and over time I created the kind of memorable experiences for you that I should have had first time.

What makes me different?
I don’t just want you to see Egypt — I want you to feel it, but even I am still learning. Through my blog and in person, I tell the stories behind the stones, so you can imagine the real people who once lived here, walked these temple floors, and shaped this extraordinary land. No made-up tales, no polished-over legends — just truth, heart, and a little magic.

Together with my small Egyptian team, I create honest, personal, unforgettable journeys — whether you’re here for a few days at Mara House or travelling across the country with us.
