Imagine the Great Pyramid opened only for you. No crowds, no queues, no chatter, no footsteps echoing behind you — just silence, darkness, and the stone chambers of Khufu’s pyramid, yours alone for two full hours.
This isn’t a loophole, a VIP add-on, or a tourist gimmick. It is officially granted private access inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, arranged with rare permissions from the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities and the Tourism Police. And it can be part of your journey with me.
Before we go any further, there’s something important to know: a Private Visit is not the same as a Private Tour. The difference is huge — and so is the cost. (If you’re unsure, read my guide here).
What a Private Visit Really Means
This is not a standard tourist experience. It’s not even a VIP add-on. This is exclusive, legal access to the interior of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, outside official opening hours — just for us, with no one else inside.
Entrance of this kind is a privilege available to very few. With only seven – eight private visits permitted each night, access is granted only through trusted operators with the highest standing and long-established relationships with the Ministry. Even heads of state, presidents, and celebrities haven’t all experienced this kind of quiet, private, extended entry now being offered. The cost reflects not just the rarity, but the prestige of experiencing the Great Pyramid of Khufu in a way almost no one else in the world ever will. Opportunities of this caliber are never guaranteed to last. For those who expect the extraordinary, advance booking is essential.
Waiting outside the Great Pyramid of Giza with Mahmoud, ready to step inside for a private visit.
For two uninterrupted hours, sometime between 5 PM and 7 AM, we are inside the pyramid’s chambers:
-
The King’s Chamber
-
The Queen’s Chamber
-
The Grand Gallery
-
The Subterranean Chamber (the “Pit”)
This Is Not a Loophole – It’s a Privilege
To step inside at night, we must have official permission from:
-
The Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities
-
The Tourism Police, who open the pyramid specifically for our entry
These permissions are not casually granted. They take time, trusted relationships, and serious expense. But for those who want to experience Egypt beyond the surface, this is the closest you can come to touching the soul of the ancient world.

Pricing and Availability
There are three ways to arrange a private 2-hour visit inside the Great Pyramid of Khufu at Giza, and you can book any of them directly with me at maraegypt@gmail.com:
-
A fully private visit — just for you, your partner, or your family. This is the most exclusive option and costs several thousand dollars.
-
As part of one of my personal transformative or small group journeys — where a private pyramid visit is included in the wider experience of travelling through Egypt with me for 11 – 14 nights.
-
Among the private visits, already confirmed between September 2025 and April 2026, there is still space to include two or three more travelers. These rare opportunities allow the normal high cost to be shared, while still keeping the groups small and intimate.
Pausing for breath during the climb from the Pit of the Great Pyramid, overwhelmed by the blissful energy of the ascent.
I also sometimes include similar private time in my tours at other monuments — such as the closed area around the Sphinx (daytime only) and the Osirion at Abydos Temple. At least for now, it’s also possible to arrange private time at other monuments in Egypt under the same conditions.

A Personal Note
I’ve been inside the Great Pyramid many times over the last 24 years. I’ve stood in the King’s Chamber with chatter and crowds around me. And I’ve sat there in silence, completely alone. The difference is immense.
People often ask me: “Does the pyramid have energy?” I never answer directly. It’s something you have to feel for yourself.
When you’re truly alone inside — no noise, no interruptions — it becomes something else entirely. Everyone who has done it with me has come out changed in some way. Some laugh, some cry, many are silent for hours. No one walks away unmoved.
